Racing Naked Repeats At Rosecroft
FT. WASHINGTON, MD – Racing Naked [$5.80, $2.60, $2.10] paced wire-to-wire in the $6,000 Open pace at Rosecroft Raceway on Saturday evening, winning by a length in 1:54.1.
Driven by Frank Milby for trainer John Sumner, Racing Naked led the field through fractions of 27.3, 57.4 and 1:26.2 to finish with a 27.4 last quarter. William Camp Jr. owns the eight-year-old Misfit horse.
Weiss Hanover [$4.00, $2.10] put in a solid challenge for second with a pocket trip. Trainer Donnie Russell drove the six-year-old Western Hanover horse through a strong mile for owner Edward Needle.
Dixie Pride [$2.40] tried a first-over trip for third with trainer Joe Offutt at his lines. The seven-year-old Real Artist horse, co-owned by Joe and Karen Offutt, finished strongly with a last quarter of 28.1.
The trifecta paid $45.80.
Harness racing action returns to the Rosecroft oval next Friday at 6:30 p.m.
